iPhone 6, iPad mini 2 exclusive iOS 7 features

There is no doubt that an iPhone 6 or 5S will arrive in a couple of months time and the phone will be followed up with a new iPad mini 2 and iPad 5 shortly after. This is how it happened last year, and we see no reason to doubt the same pattern this year even if some blogs dance around with conflicting release date rumor.
While we are almost certain a new phone will launch this year, its name is another matter and leaks hinting at two models might change the way Apple decide to name the handsets this year, Personally, we would like to see no confusion in 2013 with the name process and love the idea of a higher spec iPhone 6 in metal and a cheaper iPhone 5S in plastic that has been hinted in leaked photos.
If Apple launch an iPhone 6 will a little innovation and higher specs, then this delivers a clear understanding of the better handset. The leaks suggesting a plastic iPhone 5 would only confuse matters in our opinion, especially considering we have an iPhone 5 in metal currently, so if Apple do launch two models with different price points then new names would be much better and serve a purpose for the iPhone 5S name.

iPhone 6 and iPad mini 2 with exclusive iOS 7 features – some of our readers are betting that some new features will not arrive in iOS 7 beta 4, but rather later on with iOS 7 Gold Master or even with the iPhone 6 or 5S launch.
There have been plenty of suggestions for new features in iOS 7, although one of the most interesting was adding quick reply to messaging and also the ability to add photos to the “contacts list view, conversation view and messaging list”. Another one of our readers made an interesting point by stating, “they did this with Macs, but we will most likely see this as an exclusive feature on iPhone 6, 5S or even later in iOS 8″.
While we don’t necessarily agree with these comments, it is true that Apple likes to sell a new phone with some exclusive features when possible. We saw this with Siri, and we will see it again with other new features that would be possible on other devices but are saved as a selling tactic for new hardware.
The current iOS 7 beta versions have revealed that iPhone 4S lacks Airdrop as seen with iPhone 5 and iOS 7. This might not change in the coming betas, also we have seen some features left out of the new iPad mini software and we cannot be sure if this will change by public release. This includes certain camera filters and Panorama, but the iPad mini 2 might include these iOS 7 features and more once it’s released around September.
You can expect the iPad 5, iPad mini 2 and iPhone 6 to include higher specs and camera upgrades, so we’d expect all the iOS 7 features on these devices but there’s a good chance of some exclusive features as well.

What unique iOS 7 features and abilities would you like to see on iPad mini 2, or iPhone 6 and 5S? Would you also like to see clear name differences between a plastic and metal iPhone?
If we do see a fingerprint reader then this will certainly come with some built-in features with iOS 7, so an iPad mini 2 and iPhone 6 with this technology could bring about a few extras.

What are the features, specialities and changes in Windows 8 operating system Now it's UP !!!

Before I start to give you an in-depth analysis about Windows 8, bear it in mind that many of the new features of Windows 8 might not appeal to the average user because it has been designed not only for desktop computers but also for tablet computers. Rather I would say that tablet devices were the centric focus of Microsoft while designing Windows 8 OS. Now I will not take any more of your time and will proceed directly to business with the features of Windows 8.

Metro style user interface

Windows 8 will replace you boring start menu with the tablet themed wall with all your application shortcuts pinned on it. The interface is now a pin up wall like in Windows phone 7 with a look that is both rich and interactive. This Metro screen is the default screen, however, if you want to switch to the good old desktop screen then there is a normal desktop view title on the Metro UI.

User optimizing Windows Explorer

s soon as you start working you will notice the Ribbon interface of Windows 8. If you have worked on Microsoft Office 7 or 10 then you know what a ribbon interface is.
The speciality of Ribbon interface is that it prioritizes the interface according to you. All you latest used options will be in front of. So the next time you want to create a new folder you just need to click on the menu button for New Folder, no need to right click > New > Folder. This is really a very useful feature which has been taken down in Windows 8 from Office 7 and 10.

All new Internet Explorer 10

IE has been losing a large amount of its user base to Mozilla and Chrome. With Windows 8, Microsoft has introduced Internet Explorer 10 which is said to have enhanced speed and security features. HTML is supported in IE 10. I do not use IE at all (I prefer Mozilla), so if you like it do share your experience through comments and I will add it in the text after giving you due credits.

Improved file operations

Source: Guiding tech
I use TeraCopy on my Windows to have better control on file copying. TeraCopy allows you to pause and resume failed copying process by allowing option for “Skip” files which are already there. With Windows 8, we can forget these all. The three main features changes for file operations with Windows 8 are:

FILE QUEUING WHEN COPYING MULTIPLE FILES

Now when copying multiple files you have much greater controls. You can pause and resume the process and also watch the address of the source and destination folder.

BETTER TIMING CALCULATIONS

Unlike the previous Windows riming calculations for a copy process, Windows 8 shows you real-time information on how much time it will take to copy a file. Users will be able to see the copy process on a graph as well along with the transfer speed.

SMART CONFLICT SOLVING

In case there is some system conflict while copying like non-existing file or repetitive name, Windows 8 has been equipped to handle such situations more smartly.

Faster boot from Hibernation

Windows XP as well as Windows 7, both take a huge quite an amount of time to reboot from Hibernation. This time is only a little less than the Start up time. However, in Windows 8- the Hybrid Boot support has been improved by combining shut down and hibernate process to speed up the boot, bringing down the time to 8 to 10 seconds.

New Task Manager

There is too much to talk about the Task Manager of Windows 8. We will soon come out with a separate post for that, but for now we can tell you that it is a very powerful tool having two views- simple and advanced. In the Simple view you can see the list of running applications and an End Task button which will kill any application. The Advanced View shows much more information about all the processes running on the system.

Windows app store

As mentioned before, Windows 8 has been designed with tablet devices in mind. So going with the flow, Windows 8 has an online App store similar to the Apple’s Mac store where users can buy free or paid applications to go with the metro theme. The store is not launched yet but we expect it to be a cool experience.

Easy factory restore

This is the final weapon in your arsenal if anything goes wrong with your installed Windows 8. The recovery option in Windows 8 has done away with the need to format your computer in case it is malfunctioning and you do not know how to repair it. Windows 8 comes with two options- Refresh and Reset. Both the options set your system to the state just after Windows was installed. While the first option keeps the files intact, the latter erases away everything that has been placed in the memory after Windows 8 installation. Thus you get a clean system and no need to install your Windows again and again.

Windows Live ID integration

Now Windows 8 owners get to keep all their files on cloud. This feature allows you to sync your local Windows 8 account with Windows Live ID and sync all your data on your hard drive to the Windows cloud server. Therefore, no matter even if you lose all hard drive or are travelling, all your data follows you always.

Apple Inc. (AAPL), Samsung Still Can’t Reach A Deal In Patent Wars

The patent battles between Apple Inc. (AAPL) and Samsung are still going on, but the ITC believes Apple is to blame. Samsung has been attempting to sign a cross-patent licensing deal with Apple, but Apple maintains that the fee Samsung wants is too high. The ITC, however, sides with Samsung, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The patent wars between Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) have spanned across space and time, but they just can’t seem to settle their problems. Ian Sherr of The Wall Street Journal reports that sources and legal documents indicate that the two companies have been negotiating privately since last summer.

Apple and Samsung make no progress

One of the documents reviewed by The WSJ indicates that representatives for the two companies met in person in South Korea in December. Then in February, it appeared as if Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Samsung had agreed on a settlement, but then the talks broke down.
Sources said talks between the two companies continue, although there are no new signs that they might be close to reaching a settlement.

Samsung wants a cross-licensing deal

Sherr reports that some of the documents indicate that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (LON:BC94) (KRX:005930) is pushing for a broad deal which spans across multiple patents and may settle all of the patent lawsuits which are still pending between the companies. Sources were unsure whether Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) was interested in striking a deal like it, although Apple has rejected the fees proposed by Samsung for a cross-patent licensing, saying that they are too high.
The patent wars between Samsung and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) date back at least to 2011, according to The WSJ. That’s when Apple sued Samsung, claiming that the company copied its products. From there, numerous courtroom battles all over the world have ensued, with Apple winning some and Samsung winning others.
Both accuse each other of infringing on patents. Samsung’s accusations usually involve patents which are considered to be vital for building wireless devices. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s accusations usually focus either on patents for various functional aspects or for the physical designs of its devices.

Apple wins some, Samsung wins some

Last August, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) received a $1 billion judgment in its favor in connection with three patents which focused on the iPhone’s shapes and its icons. Since then the damages have been reduced, however. Last month Samsung convinced the International Trade Commission (ITC) that some older models of the iPhone and iPad should be banned from import. President Obama could still decide to veto that order, although he has less than three weeks left to make that decision...
